Songs in Christmas movies + Huff Post's "Best New Original Xmas Song" list!

Big thanks to the Christmas movies of the world for featuring both “Santa’s Makin’ Moves” and “Give a Little Joy” this year. “Santa’s Makin’ Moves” was the opening credits song for “Jingle Bell Run.” And “Give a Little Joy” was featured in “A Dance in the Snow.”

Also, “Santa’s Makin’ Moves” made it onto Huff Post’s “Best New Original Christmas Songs” list! Big thanks to them and Christmas A Go Go for the love!

Song in a Christmas movie!

Did you know I love Christmas too?? Not just cozy mysteries. Also cozy Christmas. I write this as I’ve been in Europe for the past month chasing Christmas. Ransacking Christmas markets and eating cozy foods and feeling like I’m in the Nutcracker. All this is to say, that I loved writing the ending scene song for “Secretly Santa” this year.

Song in Nancy Drew!!!

Ok, this is very exciting to me. You may not know this about me, but I’m obsessed with cozy mystery stories. (Not to be confused with real-life, creepy, scary mysteries.. I’m talking candlesticks in libraries.. I’m talking 3 wives and a will.) I grew up reading all the coziest mystery books I could find, including Nancy Drew. So I pretty much lost my mind when “Nothing’s Ever What it Seems,” a new song by lyrix was used in the ending montage of the CW’s Nancy Drew. The 7 year old inside of me is dancing.

Song in Showtime's "The Circus"

I’m excited to share that I had the ending credits song in episode 616 of “The Circus” (aired on 11/7). It was with my song “Circus” that I recorded as lyrix. I wrote it as a political song after watching the 2016 presidential debates, so it felt fitting to have it used in a political show all these years later!
